Jane was so excited to get up there, so Jake stopped at the store and bought her a fishing pole!

Henry was so uncomfortable in his life jacket. He had a hard time on the boat becuase of it. He kept tipping over when he'd try to move around on his own.
Henry got a hold of the toilet paper and undid the entire roll while he was supposed to be sleeping.
When we were in Yellowstone Amanda and I were determined to find a bear. I have never seen one before. Jake and I spotted a bear in the stream and it went back into the woods. So we went back to a camp area for a potty break. Jake and I were driving around the campgrounds and low and behold the bear walks right in frnot of our car!!!!! Jake had to slam on his breaks to stop himself from hitting it. I was in shock. Jake wanted to get out of the car and get a picture, but I was too scared for him. Afterall, it was a bear right in front of us. It was pretty amazing.
When we are in Island Park we always go to Big Springs. It's a stream that the kids get to feed the fish at. We always stop and get a loaf of bread and let them drop it in the water. They had a great time!

Amanda & Anthony got to come & see the cabin! We had a great time with them. We met up in Yellowstone together and they got to stay and ride the boat with us the next day. The best part about it was the kids got to play and Anthony & Jake got to sneak out and go fly-fishing.
Jane got attached to these stuffed animals. She slept with them every night and insisted on taking a picture with them.

Later on in the week we got to see Luke & Nicole. The kids had a great time playing together for the short time we were with them!

Our annual trip, Island Park. Or at least Jake hopes that it becomes annual. I could go every two or three years, but since it's Jake's favorite place on earth I guess I can go along! We both grew up going here so when we were dating this was a major bonus for Jake. I think I might have pretended that I liked it better than I actually do, but I had to win some bonus points with him! We had a WONDERFUL time this year. The Rotheys just got a brand new cabin. It is beautiful, we got to go and stay for a week and we loved every minute of it. This was the perfect vacation to do with the kids. They had a fabulous time. Between fishing, the boat rides, Yellowstone, Big Springs, Johnny Saks Cabin, and getting huckleberry ice-cream in West Yellowstone the vacation was complete. We got to have some time to ourselves, and also see Amanda & Anthony, Grandma Jeri & Collin, Luke & Nicole, and Lindsay & Ozz. Jane's highlight: being with her Daddy no matter what the plan was. Henry's highlight: driving in a truck all week(thank you Lou). Jake's highlight: his guided fly-fishing tour (thanks Amanda & Anthony!!) My highlight: comfortable beds, relaxation & time with Jake. This definitely was a trip to remember. I love being with my kids. They are my joy in life. There is nothing I would rather be doing than finding new ways to have fun with them. I guess this is what life is all about for me.
